Nome, Alaska ---- Two weeks of outreach efforts at the finish line of the Iditarod netted about 34 decisions for Christ. Couple that with 32 decisions in Anchorage for 68 decisions for Christ in all. Nome Community Baptist Church is the partner church for this event, hosting a total of 160 volunteers over a two week period (95 the first week; 65 the second week).
Here are some of the Ministry Event we host:
1. Bible in a Bucket - house to house delivery to every home in Nome (680 homes)
2. XYZ Center - senior adults/community elders ministry
3. Prison Ministry - Tanya Crevier basketball show for the women's and the men's units. Tanya led several to Christ.
4. Halfway House - Tanya Crevier basketball show for the house.
5. Juvenile Detention Center - Tanya Crevier basketball show; mission volunteer shared Christ with individuals. Lorie Wunch from Ware Shoals, SC led a youth to Christ.
6. Kids Klub at Nome Community Baptist Church - held both weeks of the outreach. We saw a total of 38 kids in the club. We enlisted several youths in correspondence discipleship
